CHURCHCAMP 06 (but yes I am a boy!)
I'm back from churchcamp! Yeah it was really funnnn (poo-poo! choo-choo! -andrea!). My group clicked really well, KOTL'S COOL. Vanessa mak is nice! My Water Game was on the 2nd day. It was coolbeans lah. I like being a Game Master! Working with Smellanie was nice too :) Jacques Ryan and SamWee got me soaked at our last slot! And we all took pictures on the youth bus with hannah's spiffy new camera. Karen called us camera whores, hahahaa.
Oh I was like sick during camp too, totally couldn't sing lah! :( But but Melissa and VanessaChan (I think) said I had a sexy husky voice haha. By the second day I was really really sick, I had spent half of the night before coughing. So Joanna's mom gave me some cough syrup :) She's the coolest doctor I know. Haha I kinda spread my disease to everyone in camp, karen and geraldine were coughing sneezing and sniffling by the second day. And Andrea complained of pain at her throat, which was like the first symptom I ever got.
So on the last day of lessons I was really drowsy and joanna asked me to go take a nap in my room, and they'd discuss there. When I woke up everyone was there! So we all discussed, and let me tell you, my room is strangely a more conducive enviroment to discuss than the youth room.
By the third day my throat was a little better, but still really low and it skewed when I tried singing over D. So I started singing an octave down with the guys hahaha. And in the end some girls joined me :)
Oh I switched nametags with andrea karen and joanna. joanna's tag said blossom on one side and buttercup on the other cos shona was bored!
So on the last day we had a barbeque at the seramban coc or something, I was there at the 2002 churchcamp! We had lamb meat disguised as wolf. Me and shona started talksinging in the tune of Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf, here's a memorable snippet.

Oh skits were GREAT! 'Specially my group's (Keepers Of The Light's). Karen's got good ideas! We won overall because of our skit :) I WAS A DOCTOR! with a real stethescope (advantages of having joanna in our group) ! In chenyi's words, our "skit was about the scene in heaven when God plays back all our 'CCTV footage' and sees whether we used our gifts for him or not." Yup, he was in my group for the 3rd time ever. I'm just gonna describe my scene cos I love it so. Haha!
I go in with sarah trailing me as my nurse.
me: Are you here for the intestinal tract deblocking operation?
vanessa: uh yes.
me: kay please lie down. *pushes her onto the chairs*
me(to sarah): anaesthetic. *uses horribly gaudy baby rattle to inject vanessa. ball pops out*
me: scalpel *sarah passes me the bunch of grapes. Unzip her sweater till around her stomach. 'accidentally' drop grapes inside. Looks nervous* Oops! Uhh, instruction manual. *passes me nehe's hcl textbook. I flip through and pause* Wait! It's in Chinese! I don't speak/know chinese! *throws textbook over my shoulder, looks nervous, then gives evil handwriggling grin. Starts pulling out the blue raffia intestines. pulls out frayed end, looks quizically at audience* So um how are you gonna pay for this? Cash or cheque?
Vanessa: Me? No money.
Me: *pauses* no money? *stuffs intestines into sweater* this ain't no charity clinic. You have to PAY for surgery here. Guess I'll hafta stitch you up-- wait! Stitches cost money. Stitch yourself up. BUT we WILL give you these free bandages! *pulls out toilet roll* Now hurry up I have patients waiting. *she sits up and pulls out my scalpel, tosses it over her shoulder* Wait! That's mine! *aldous enters* What do you want?
Aldous: To kill you. *shoots me. I toss the grapes with a gasp, and vanessa tosses the toilet roll*
You'd have to see it to believe it :)
Oh but Tool-box was the most unified group I have ever seen. Such spirit! Such ingenuity! Such ruthlessness in games! haha
Aldous is so cool! Even though he's 31. He used to be very very rich and was under a lot of vices like smoking and girls, but God gave him two warnings and led him back on track. SO COOL LAH. Almost teared at the end, when he said " Please don't be like me."
So on the last day I TRIED to stay up but got sleepy at around 2am, and I couldn't get into my room cos I realised I left my key in the room! And geraldine had the other key and was sleeping. So vanessamak let me sleep in her room :) Later on joanna and karen came and slept there too I think. hahaha
Oh maaaan I felt like crying on the last day. We were going to board the bus soon, and that was the last time I'll see andrea till maybe my farewell sending off thing or my flight? Or I may not even get to see her ever again at all :(((( Gave her two hugs.
Took loads of pictures on the bus back to singapore again. Haha guess I AM a cam whore.
When we reached church, me shona joanna hannah judith and geraldine went to clementi mcdonalds for a farewell tea. Cos joanna can't go for my wednesday farewell dinner! :(
